This is the second time I have referred readers to Spy, the first being during the Mumbai massacre. Does it have anything to do with ranking your site? Not really. Does it have something to do with life on the “outside”?  Yes.  Use the pound sign to follow a specific subject and be continually updated. (#Iran).

What does this tool do:  Soothes your lonely heart…or is very valuable as a niche and ranking tool.

Meetup serves multiple purposes: it will allow you to meet like minded individuals who share your goals and ideals; it will allow you to mix in and eventually rank your own site, and it will help you to prequalify your idea. What does this tool do: This Canadian site hows your Page Rank.

Who Needs It:  Do you care if anybody else doesn’t?

If you care what your page rank is and you want to attract as many visitors as possible, then you might want to access this and get all your rankings together on one page. You can also embed a widget onto your site to let your visitors know just how popular you are.

EduTextLink Review 

What does this tool do:  Allows you to purchase a valuable EDU link to increase your own PR.

Who Needs It:  Want to increase your PR?

If you don’t know yet, the EDU extension on any page referenced is valuable as a PR intensifier. Higher PR gives you higher rank in Google and other search engines. Here is the last of our series on building your PR through the purchase of backlinks. Prepare to pay, but the value is commensurate.

What does this tool do: Among other things, it will auto generate social bookmarking links and PR 2 (Page Rank) links for you.

You hit on the right page. This is probably the most valuable tool I own for choosing a competitive E-market. It will tell you the key phrases or key words that are highly searched plus show you those terms that have low competition. Then it will show you a graphic display of Google competitors to let you know if you should attack your area of interest. Such a time saver, lack of this software is what kept me away from the E-commerce market for years. I was not interested in doing the tedious analysis required of weighing good markets. I have never not listed a price before, with good reason. What ever it is, pay it and shut up. 14 day trial for free.

What does this tool do: Gives your site an excellent heavy-weight backlink.

Wikipedia, a user edited encyclopedia, has a PR (Page Rank) of eight. If you can get a link to your site via Wikipedia, you will gain instant credibility. But Wikipedia is monitored by people who make biased decisions about content, so your script addition or link must be weighty, scholarly and essentially non-commercial.  If you can swing this, and have a topic that lends itself to encyclopedic or historic explanation, then have a go at it. Make dead certain that you fully understand the rules before attempting to change content however.

What does this tool do:  Cheaply hires out an automated/human mix to facilitate the article writing drudgery of building backlinks to your site.

Who Needs It: Are you serious about writing articles to build backlinks? You need to be.

Yup, sure looks like a Mini-Site come-on to me too. It is. But it’s good. Write one article, get a thousand plus submissions with backlinks and no duplicate content penalty.  This a quantity site, meaning it will leverage your writing ability (three versions of each article are required), but take care of duplicate content issues and it will virtually guarantee a flood of backlinks. Check this site out.

Cligs Review

What does this tool do: Shortens your long URLs (like TinyUrl), but also keeps track of how many click-throughs you receive via that link. That is the huge benefit of Cligs.

Who Needs It: Are you wasting your time sending out links to others? Find out.

Oh this is nice.  A free tool (with registration) that keeps track of hits on any individual link you may embed on your site or send to others. Would you like to know if the links you send via email are ignored or visited? Would you like to keep track of hits on specific links of your site? Would you like to trace the traffic patterns of links that you publicize through Twitter? This fine tool will do it for you. Embedded Twitter URLs (in your Tweets) are often condensed for space purposes. You can simultaneously condense those links and trace the hits to your distributed links, all via Cligs.
