What does this tool do: Gives you free local and long distance access via your computer USB port and a standard telephone.

Cost: Free 30 day trial until March 31, 2008. Basic service is $19.95 per year after a one-time $39.95 device charge.

Who Needs It: If you want to eliminate long distance charges, have a second phone line cheap, or give an extra line to your kids, you want this.

You should review the posted video segments at the MagicJack site for media testimonials, and you may want to review our previous posting on Vonics for additional thoughts. But this is a tool worth considering, especially as an inexpensive back up telephone line. Simple, cheap, and useful. Simply plug the device into your computer, plug your telephone into the device. Dial and talk.
